How does commune work?
You list items you no longer need, earn credits when other members pick them up, and spend those credits to get items from other members. No money changes hands — credits are commune's internal currency, where 1 credit equals 1 EGP in value.
How do I get credits?
You receive 200 credits when you create your account. After that, you earn credits every time someone confirms they've received an item you listed. You can't buy credits with money — you earn them by giving things to the community.
What happens to my credits when I request an item?
Your credits are held in escrow the moment you request an item. They're only transferred to the seller after you tap "Confirm I received it" on the Transactions page. If the transaction is cancelled at any point before that, your credits come straight back to you.
What if an item isn't as described?
Don't confirm receipt. Credits only move when you tap "Confirm I received it" — so cancelling the transaction will return your credits. Contact us at commune.eg@gmail.com if you need help resolving a dispute.
Who can use commune?
commune is currently available in Egypt only.
How do I delete my account?
Email us at commune.eg@gmail.com and we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days.
How do I cancel my membership?
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
